Landman 2024– Magnet Download
A modern-day story about finding fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs
Watch writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV series on IMDb, sorted by user rating. A landman, at least one who works in the petroleum industry, acts as a middleman between the exploration companies and the landowners. Typically, a land manager’s job is to negotiate and enter into contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent.

Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, living quarters for the workers (man camps), assemble the excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part fixer, problem solver, and mediator.
Since Sicerio, I’ve been down for anything Sheridan’s name is associated with
Seeing what he’s capable of based on his incredible scripts and films he’s made in the past, I have to admit I’m a little disappointed after four episodes of Landman. Maybe it’s because I had very high expectations with all the great actors also involved, but also because I was venturing into the boomtown lifestyle after venturing amazingly far into ranch life. But I feel like Sheridan has a little too much fun incorporating wasteful scenes with Tommy’s ex-wife Ali Larter and his over-the-top daughter Michelle Randpolh, who was excellent in 1923.
I don’t think the subplot they’re involved in would do anything substantial to move the plot forward
Sheridan is at his best when he’s putting his foot on the action drama pedal, as seen here in the second season of “Special Ops: Lioness,” or any of his previous dramas. Knowing what he’s capable of is frustrating, but with only four episodes, I still have hope that he will use Jon Hamm more and this show will succeed. The mother-daughter scenes together are very cringe-worthy And I hate to say it, but Randolph is just way too over the top and I can’t get my head around her acting at all.
I hope this isn’t another project for its own entertainment value, like Tulsa King S2, which turns into a comedy punctuated by brief moments of great drama (I really liked the first season)
I know Sheridan has his own umbrella and runs so many shows, but I wish he would focus on quality too much, because this series has a chance to be excellent when it gets serious.
