Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became the CEO of the DC Studios.. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening titles with a laptop typing a script. . Featured in AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023).

Universe is promising & a welcome sight

The story cares about the characters & the animation is top notch

Speaking on the animation the new "Tomorrow-verse" animation looked very cheap & flat, no life in the animation style or stories. The D. C. AU of great stories like: "Under the Red Hood", "Justice League:Dark" & "Superman: Doomsday" set the standard for quality comic book animation. I collected all the animated movies of that time & i had no interest in the Tomorrow-verse, due to lazy writing & lazy animated art.

The art style is fun & vivid & better pitch

But, Creature Commandos is a return to form for quality animation. I already care about the characters & the story is interesting. James Gunn is starting this universe right & making his upcoming projects highly anticipated. The new Superman movie is definitely on my must watch list. Back the show it’s only 2 episodes but the anticipation & connection to the characters is there..
